Fashionably Late Miss Miller

We're still waiting on our newest niece (first for us on the Marchbank side) to be born. Due this past Sunday, she has chosen to make us all hang on every telephone call, every P.A. announcement at school, every twinge for her poor mommy. Time is ticking by so slowly these days that I decided to have a little bit of fun with it. Although I know Lindsay isn't finding much pleasure in the land of the over-due, that doesn't mean the rest of us have to suffer so much. I've been teaching band, social studies and computers for a week and a half now at Callaghan school and every student I teach knows they better buckle down and be quiet if there is an announcement. When the "beep beep beep" noise is heard over the PA, all 15-32 of us (depending on the class) falls into silence waiting to hear the magic words... "Mrs. Craig you have a call on line 4, Mrs. Craig, line 4." Each and every false alarm we let out a collective sigh and "oh man!" and then continue on with whatever task we are on.

On Monday, when all of my band students came to class and asked whether my sister had her baby, I had an idea. I printed off the best of the best pictures of Lindsay in all of her glory and posted them on the whiteboard. I then engaged in something I'm sure is frowned upon in the public school system - I began taking bets. So far there were only two very disappointed students who had placed their bets for Tuesday, and seeing as it is now almost 9:30pm I think there will be quite a few disappointed faces tomorrow. While the grade sevens thought today was a good day for Little Miller's arrival (oh, and by the way they thought Miller was the proud parents' first name of choice for a little girl) the grade eights have a majority vote in for Thursday. Only time will tell, but I can say right now that there will be one large celebration in West Prince when this little lady finally decides to see what this world is all about.

Love you Linz:)

Thinking of my beautiful sister :)

I'm thinking about my sister Lindsay a lot today and have been sending up lots of prayers. She is due to have her baby today, the 16th, but is still very pregnant and waiting patiently. Lindsay and her husband Phil know they are having a little girl and I can't wait to see Isabelle with her new little cousin. I'm sure they will be great friends! Linz is getting more and more uncomfortable, but she has done so well throughout the pregnancy and has remained very positive even up to the due date. Only God knows when the baby will come but we want baby Miller to know that we already love her and can't wait to meet her - whether she comes today, next week, or any day in between! Please pray for a safe, efficient, and soon delivery for my sister and friend :) Love you Linz.

Brent and I were both teaching today which meant Isabelle was at the babysitter's house. She had a great day! She is standing up on her own now and does so more on the days she's around other little ones who are already running around. We are just waiting for the first steps! Brent is busy trying to get report cards ready (can you believe it is already the end of first term?!) so we had a mini marking party here last night. He'll be staying at the school late tonight to finish up. As for me, I was teaching phys ed. today which meant I was comfy all day in my sweats. Woo hoo! It was a great day filled with badminton and soccer baseball. I think the whole family will be pooped tonight!

Here are more pics from our fall!!

We took Isabelle to the swings yesterday and had to bundle her up in full snowsuit for the first time!
