Decorating Day

Lauren is the creator and manager of this blog. However, she is encouraging me to add my two cents so here it goes my first official blog. Today Lauren and I were both feeling energentic and festive so we decided to try add some spirit to our home and decorate. To be completely honest, cosmetics are Lauren's department and therefore this was the type of project where I try not to say anything and simply do what I am told. Beginning ouside, Lauren and I realized that we are not meant to be living in the city. The revilation came soon after we cut some branches off of a vacant lot to accent the house becasue we began to think that we could probably get in trouble for as in the city everything is someone's. Nonetheless, they sure make things look better. After we finished outside we added some different things to spice up the inside as well. Although this was somewhat of a girly way to spend the day, the house was empty and it was nice for Lauren and I to have the chance to spend some time together doing something not related to school. So that's all I have to say about that but check out our finished project.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving has come and gone and although it was a long weekend, it flew by. Our first stop was PEI where we stayed with Brent's parents for Friday, Saturday, and half of Sunday. It was a busy weekend at the Craig's as the potato harvest is fully underway. Brent spent the day Saturday on the farm and I prepared desserts for the upcoming dinners. Sunday was a long day as it included church, a nice walk through the fall leaves, and Thanksgiving dinner with the Craigs and friends.

After filling our bellies we settled into the truck to drive to Amherst to celebrate Thanksgiving #2 with Linz, Phil, Jamie, Mom, and the Millers. Monday the Marchbank women took to the kitchen to prepare Thankgiving dinner. Eveything was finished early enough to allow for a nice walk to collect leaves for the center of the table. It was a blessing to be able to see both of our families on the weekend. We were extremely thankful for that!

Grade 3W

It has been a busy couple of days for the Craigs. We have been up to some fun stuff with some great people!

Sunday afternoon we walked the 5k Run for the Cure at Centennial Park here in Moncton in support of our wonderful friend Shawna and her mom Kathy. It was such a fun experience and just feeling like we were doing something to help was a great feeling. The place was packed, but I know our little group of 7 made all the difference in the world. Let's all be praying for Kathy and her family as she heads into the great unknown with an even greater God in the lead.

Monday was a crazy day at Hillcrest school for both of us as we continue on in our internships. Brent was busy running in the Terry Fox run and then planning and leading his middle school classes in an orienteering activity around the school grounds. My grade three class had a day of fresh air as we went outside for science class, ESPT (extra-special playtime), and then walked around the lake for Terry Fox. I think we are both pretty exhausted now that the day is winding down, but looking forward to a strong first week of October!

I hope you are all having a good Monday and getting ready for Thanksgiving!! I know I can't wait to go home to the island and see everyone, and then to Amherst for a no-oven turkey dinner. Happy Autumn to Everyone!
